BACH Men’s Soccer League

League Rules:  FIFA rules as modified below

1. Offensive language or gestures will not be tolerated, and will be subject to immediate ejection plus 1 game suspension.
2. Players must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
3. Shin guards are mandatory.
4. A match is played by two teams, each consisting of not more than 7 players, one of whom is a goalkeeper. A match may not start if either team consists of fewer than 4 players.
5. Maximum 14-player roster.
No players may be dropped from roster, once on the roster.
No players can be added to the roster after the 5th week.
6. Teams must have a minimum of 4 players to begin a match.
A team which does not have enough players to begin a match will have to forfeit, and the opposing team will earn a 3-0 win.
A team which does not have enough players to begin a match and would otherwise be forced to forfeit the game must request permission from the opposing team to use a player on a roster of a different team.
During the post season, a player must be on your team roster to play.
7. Players must be on a team roster to play in the league. Teams using unregistered players will forfeit the match – posting a score of 3-0.
8. League requires one (1) USSF-certified referee to officiate matches. In the event a certified official is not available a league appointed official would be provided with the approval of the team’s captain. If the captains do not agree, the game will be rescheduled when a certified official is available.
9. Games consist of Two (2) 25-minute halves. If games begin late game length may have to be altered.
10. Team league standings are determined using the point system of: 3pts = Win, 1pt = Tie and 0pt = Loss. Team league standings ties will be broken by: 1. Head to Head, 2. Goals for Goals against, 3. Penalty Kicks.
11. Ties in regular season stand. Ties in the playoffs are decided via FIFA kick with a change from 5 initial kickers to 3 kickers. Same as FIFA kicks if still tied kicks go 1 to 1, until a winner is decided.
12. Sub "on the fly."    The incoming player must be at midfield and leaving player must be off the pitch before incoming player can enter the game.
13. Kickoffs can be played in any direction.
14. No off-sides.
15. No punts or drop kicks.    The keeper may throw the ball as far as he/she likes, or they may play the ball from the ground with no distance restrictions. If the keeper plays the ball illegally the defensive team receives an indirect kick at midfield.
16. No slide tackling permitted.    An indirect kick will be awarded and the infringing player may be subject to a card. If a slide tackle occurs in the penalty area a penalty kick will be awarded. Goalkeepers are allowed to slide in any manner within the penalty area to make a save.
17. Penalties:    Yellow = must Sub off,     Red = send off and must sit out the next scheduled match.
19. Awards given to top two teams in the tournament.
